The Mercedes-Benz 300D was a diesel powered variant of the W123 Sedan. Introduced for the 1977 model year, the 300 D was powered by Mercedes' OM617.912 inline five engine. This 3.0L diesel powerplant was originally rated at 80hp, but an update for the 1980 model year increased output to 88hp.
